Recycling Company Raises Money for Breast Cancer Research
All American Recycling collected more than $2,000 for the cause through cans that were donated by the community, officials said.

All American Recycling issued this news release about its fundraiser to raise money for breast cancer research.
All American Recycling, a Joliet-based recycling and waste-management company, raised over $2,000 during their 1st Annual Save the Cans
campaign.
During the month of October, All American Recycling asked the community to
bring aluminum cans to the facility and in turn it would donate 5% of the proceeds to breast cancer research. In total, $2072.00 was donated to the Chicagoland Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
According to the National Cancer Institute, in 2013, over 234,000 new breast cancer cases will be diagnosed and almost 40,000 people will die from breast cancer related causes.
"It’s important to our company to give back in some way," said Pat Lamorte, Operations Manager at All American Recycling. "After we announced the campaign, it was really inspiring to see how the community supported the cause and went above and beyond to allow us to do just that."
Because it was so well received, the Save the Cans campaign will now be an annual event for All American Recycling each October. For more information on the Save the Cans campaign, visit www.scrapcancer.com.
