Right Lane of Joliet's Eastbound I-80 to Be Closed Saturday
IDOT is also closing the ramp onto eastbound Interstate 80 from Chicago Street so that bridge inspection work can be done.
The right lane of eastbound Interstate 80 from Chicago Street to Richards Street will be closed Saturday so the Illinois Department of Transportation can do bridge inspections at Gardner and Hickory streets.
The work will require closing the eastbound ramp from Route 53/Chicago Street onto I-80 as well, according to an IDOT news release.
The closure is set for 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting.
A detour will be posted directing both northbound and southbound IL 53 (Chicago Street) to use Mills Road east to Richards Street north to I-80, the release said.
