Rock Out To "A Night With Janis Joplin" At The Rialto This Fall

Get ready for the Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical A Night With Janis Joplin is headed to the Rialto Square Theatre on Monday, October 7^th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, May 10^th at 10:00 a.m.

With A Night With Janis Joplin, music lovers will be treated to legendary hits from the late singer and songwriter, Joplin as well as her musical influences including the legendary Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Nina Simone and more.

Although Joplin’s life and career were cut short at the early age of 27, her music still lives on forever. She rose to fame in 1967 as a member of the rock band Big Brother and the Holding Company, but her talent stood out and eventually propelled her into the spotlight. Since her untimely death in October 1970, her music has gone on to live forever.

In September 2013, A Night With Janis Joplin opened on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre and ran until its final performance in February 2014. However, the musical was so successful that it went national and is now headed to the Rialto. Fans can expect to hear such hits as “Piece of My Heart,” “Cry Baby,” “Me and Bobby McGee” and so much more. The musical was created, written, and directed by Randy Johnson. The cast will be announced at a later date.

Tickets can be purchased this Friday at 10:00 a.m. in person at the Rialto box office or at www.RialtoSquare.com. Prices start at $36.50 plus additional fees.
