A service will be held Tuesday at Prayer Tower Ministries in Joliet.
Ronald Gilmore Smith Jr.
Departed this life on Monday, November 18, 2013, at Salem Village Nursing Home in Joliet, IL. He was born on November 16, 1946, and was a lifelong resident of Joliet.
He worked for the Joliet Housing Authority for many years until his retirement.
Ronald was a very loving person. He would give you the shirt off his back. He loved to fish, play pool, and also was good at spelling bees. He always spoke highly of his father, Ronald Smith Sr.
Preceded in death by his father, Ronald Smith Sr. He is survived by his dear mother, Wanda Smith; siblings Jerome (Helena) Smith, Fred Smith, Sabrina (John) Gyenfie, Calvin (Alberta) Smith, Twana Smith, Brian Smith and Esther Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He will truly be missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at Prayer Tower Ministries, 500 Stryker Ave., Joliet, IL. Service at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Warren C. Dorris, officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
