Saw It on eBay: Major Leaguer Jesse Barfield's "Little Big Leaguer" Card
Barfield's baseball career took him to the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees, but it started right here in Joliet.
Jesse Barfield, a Major League right fielder who played for the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees from 1981 to 1992, got his start right here in Joliet and here's proof: a baseball card from when he was just a "Little Big Leaguer."
How it ended up in the hands of an eBay seller in Greenville, S.C., we may never know, but this we do: It could be yours if you want to make a bid of $7.90 or more or, skip the bidding process and buy it immediately for $10.79.
The only thing the seller says, beyond the fact that Barfield went on to play for the Yankees, is that the card has perforated edges.
