Shorewood Resident Caught With Gun In Joliet: Cops
A significant bail was set for 21-year-old Jose Nunez who faces felony weapon charges after being arrested by Joliet police.

JOLIET, IL — Bail was set at $200,000 for a 21-year-old Shorewood resident who was arrested Friday night by Joliet police on felony gun charges on the city's east side.
Jose Nunez, who lives in the 800 block of Shorewood Drive, remains in the Will County Jail facing charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a gun with no FOID and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Nunez was a passenger in a car stopped by Joliet police in the area of Richards and Washington Street for a traffic violation, police reports show.

"Officers observed a handgun on the seat under the leg of Nunez. Nunez exited the vehicle and was taken into custody without incident," Joliet police said.
