Sidelines Sports Bar Disturbance, Heroin, Cocaine And 1 Other Drug Recovered By Joliet Police: PD
The man was arguing with a female that was outside the vehicle before he was taken into custody, Joliet police said.

JOLIET, IL ? The Joliet Police Department issued a press release surrounding Wednesday's early morning arrest of a 23-year-old Joliet man at the Sidelines Sports Bar property on West Jefferson Street.
The agency said that Mehkyi Bridges was arrested and taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, aggravated resisting a peace officer, resisting a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer.
According to police, at 1:05 a.m. July 16, officers responded to the parking lot of Sidelines Sports Bar at 2006 W. Jefferson St. for a disturbance. The officers found Bridges sitting in a vehicle, arguing with a female who was outside the vehicle.

While speaking with Bridges, Joliet police asked him to step out of the vehicle. As he did, they spotted suspected cocaine on the seat he had been occupying, the arrest report showed.
Bridges then ran from the officers but was quickly apprehended after a brief pursuit, police said. He physically resisted arrest and was tased before being taken into custody, according to the police spokesman Dwayne English.

During a search of Bridges, the officers recovered suspected ecstasy and heroin, English noted.
