Straight No Chaser Headed To The Rialto In April

Tickets for the April 24th show go on sale this Friday, Jan. 25 at 10:00 a.m.

Hit a cappella group, Straight No Chaser, will hit the Rialto Square Theatre on Wednesday, April 24th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, January 25th at 10:00 a.m.

The Rialto and NiteLite Entertainment announced the upcoming show, which is a part of the group’s One Shot Tour. Their latest album of the same name was released on November 2, 2018 and features just under an hour of rich harmonies, dynamic songs and fun interludes. The first single, “Motownphilly/This Is How We Do It,” is a mix of popular 90’s tracks by Boyz II Men and Montell Jordan, respectively. Both songs hold a special place in the heart of the nine-member group, particularly “Motownphilly.”

“The lyrics from the Boyz II Men song fit our experience: We dreamed about this, and now we are doing it, performing all over the world,” says Randy Stine, an original member.

In 1996, the original group members met on the Indiana University campus in Bloomington, Indiana as undergraduate students. They went on to form a singing group while on campus, but graduation led to them going on to lead separate adult lives. The original members were replaced on campus by a new group of students. However, years later a viral video of the original group singing “The 12 Days of Christmas” in 1998 led to a deal for those members with Atlantic Records, and the rest is history.

Their debut album, Holiday Spirits, was released in October 2008 and featured a live version of the song that led to their record deal. Now on their seventh album, Straight No Chaser has gone on to achieve international success, sold more than 1.6 million albums and garnered over 100 million YouTube views. With their latest album and tour, they are sure to continue achieving success and gaining more fans worldwide.
