Tour The Chicagoland Speedway Facility Starting This Spring
The speedway tours will run from April 12 through October 15 and also include tours of the Route 66 Raceway.

JOLIET, IL — Starting April 12, Chicagoland Speedway will offer tours of their facility through a new program for guests. The behind-the-scenes experience will run through October 15 and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the Magnificent Mile and a Half, as the 1.5-mile speedway is known.
Fans will have the opportunity to participate in one-hour tours of the facility, which will occur every second Friday and third Tuesday of the month, from April through October. Schools, summer camps and nonprofit groups will also receive a sack lunch during their visit.
“This is a fantastic chance for our fans to get a behind the curtain look at Chicagoland Speedway,” said Chicagoland Speedway President Scott Paddock. “We are always looking for new and different ways to showcase our premiere facility to racing enthusiasts, visitors and community partners, and the tour program is the ideal opportunity to do just that.”

Tours will include a view of the tri-oval from the presidential suite, a trip to the infield, photos at the finish line, a behind-the-scenes view of the media center and press room and more.
In addition to Chicagoland Speedway, visitors are also invited to visit their neighbor and sister track, Route 66 Raceway. Built over 20 years ago, Route 66 Raceway is considered the first stadium to offer drag racing. The speedway and raceway combined are Illinois’ largest sporting facility. Along with getting a view of the top deck of the raceway, guests will also have an opportunity to walk the 0.25-mile strip of the raceway.
