USF Student Activities Board Wins Organization of Year Award

The University of St. Francis in Joliet released this announcement:

At the most recent National Association of Campus Activities (NACA) regional convention, the University of St. Francis (USF) Student Activities Board received the Programming Organization of the Year award. This is the highest award that the regional group bestows upon a campus organization. The November convention in Peoria, Ill. drew 116 colleges and universities.

The award recognizes the most outstanding programming board in the NACA Mid America region, which includes Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky and Illinois. Special attention was paid to student participation on the board and in events.

Colleges and universities were  judged on effective use of available resources (financial, human, logistical); evidence of an effort to encourage participation in and promote and market the series/program to the student population (posters, newspaper ad/articles, etc.); creativity involved in the creation of and the achievements or successes of the program as determined by the stated goals of the programming board, and involvement of students in the planning and implementation of the series/program.
