Victim Identified In Deadly Motorcycle Wreck On Joliet's East Side
A city of Joliet employee came across the dead motorcyclist around noon on Friday and called 911.

JOLIET, IL ? A 29-year-old man lost his life on Friday when he lost control of his Kawaski ZX600 motorcycle, crashing on the west side of the Louise Ray Parkway. On Saturday, the Will County Coroner's Office of Laurie Summers announced that the crash victim was Avontae Baker of Joliet.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said that officers were notified of the crash around 12:05 p.m. by a city of Joliet employee who called 911 after a dead person off the roadway along the Louise Ray Parkway and South State Street, which is on the city's northeast side.
Joliet police discovered a badly damaged Kawasaki ZX600 nearby and more evidence of a crash, English announced.

The Will County Coroner?s Office pronounced him dead on Friday afternoon.
The Louise Ray Parkway was closed for several hours for the crash investigation.

Further identification of the victim and the manner of death with be determined by the Will County Coroner?s Office, English noted.
He said the cause of the motorcycle remains under investigation. Anyone with additional information pertaining to this incident is urged to contact the Joliet Police Traffic Division at (815) 724-3010.
