Louis Goode: Violent Domestic Abuser Sentenced
The son of retired Will County Judge Carla Policandriotes learned his sentence Tuesday for his latest domestic abuse conviction.

JOLIET, IL — On Tuesday, 35-year-old Louis Goode was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to the felony crime of aggravated domestic battery. Goode, who is the son of now-retired Will County judge Carla Alessio Policandriotes of Shorewood, has had several high-profile criminal cases during the past decade.
Prior to his latest violence conviction, Goode stuffed the same victim into the trunk of his vehicle around 2014.
In his 2018 crime, Goode threw his estranged wife out of his Jeep, and hit her in the face several times before leaving her on the side of the road near Coal City.

Goode's sentence at the Will County Courthouse on Tuesday from Judge Ed Burmila was for 27 months at the Illinois Department of Corrections.
But because Goode has already spent several months, off and on, in custody since 2018, he was able to receive substantial good time credit.

Goode received credit for 314 days, court records show. Goode also received $10,775 in fines from the judge.
Ultimately, Goode will serve 97 more days of incarceration, and that will be followed by four years which of mandatory supervised release, which is probation.
Goode's attorney, George Lenard of Joliet, told Patch that he was uncertain whether Goode will be taken to the Illinois Department of Corrections or whether he will be allowed to serve his remainder period of incarceration at the Will County Jail.
Goode has been living in Joliet over the past several months. He has strong ties to Shorewood, and he lived in the Channahon at the time he harmed his wife, who is no longer married to him.
