Voting In Joliet: Everything You Need To Know

The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

JOLIET, IL — If you haven't yet voted by mail or early in-person, there are several polling stations around Joliet on Election Day. The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

You can find a list of polling stations in Joliet, as well as across Will County, on the County Clerk's website.

The only vote by mail drop box that will accept ballot envelopes on Election Day will be outside the Will County Clerk's Office, 302 N. Chicago St., in downtown Joliet. That drop box will close at 7 p.m.

In addition to voting on president, some state and local races, voters are being asked to vote on the Graduated Income Tax Amendment.

  • A "yes" vote supports repealing the state's constitutional requirement that the state personal income tax be a flat rate and instead allow the state to enact legislation for a graduated income tax.
  • A "no" vote opposes this constitutional amendment, thus continuing to require that the state personal income tax be a flat rate and prohibit a graduated income tax.
