Walmart Parking Lot Domestic Violence Arrest: Joliet Police
The 26-year-old Braidwood man is accused of choking a woman and throwing her to the ground in the 2400 block of Jefferson Street in Joliet.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police arrested a 26-year-old man from Braidwood on felony charges of aggravated domestic battery after police say he choked a woman he knows and threw her to the parking lot pavement at the Walmart store in the 2400 block of Jefferson Street.
Joliet officers arrested Jason Escalante and delivered him to the Will County Jail.
The incident happened around 9:10 p.m. Sunday.

Joliet police initially responded to the Wing Stop restaurant for a domestic violence report, police said. Officers learned that a woman was beat up by Escalante "while they were in the nearby Walmart parking lot.
"Further investigation determined that while the two argued, Escalante placed his hands around the victim’s neck, making it difficult for the victim to breathe. Escalante then threw the victim to the ground," police reports show.

Joliet police say the woman refused to go to the hospital for medical treatment.
