Will We Be Having a White Christmas in Joliet?

Magic 8 Ball -- and the National Weather Service -- say "yes."

Many a child will be delighted Wednesday morning when they peek out the window and see Santa has delivered a winter wonderland of snow.

The white stuff is supposed to start falling in the Joliet area sometime around midnight, according to the National Weather Service, which pegs the chance of precipitation at 80 percent. By the time it tapers off at about 9 a.m., there will be one or two inches to shovel.

Also predicted is a welcome increase in temperature. After a low of 11 Tuesday night, temperatures will start to climb, according to the latest forecast. The high on Christmas Day is expected to be 28, although it will drop to about 15 overnight.
