Woman Punched In Face At Anthony's Bar By Cicero Man: Cops

A 23-year-old man from Cicero visited Anthony's Pub this past weekend and he punched a woman in the face, according to Joliet police.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police remain busy on the weekends making arrests involving some of the customers who frequent Anthony's Pub and Restaurant, 3151 Voyager Lane near the Louis Joliet Mall. Early Saturday morning, Joliet police hauled away 23-year-old Cicero resident Victor Salgado in handcuffs, charging him with battery.

It was the second weekend in a row that Joliet police made an arrest at the Joliet bar near the Louis Joliet Mall that has had its share of violent crime in recent years.

According to police reports, Salgado caused a fight inside the Joliet bar around 2:35 a.m. A Joliet police officer working security at Anthony's was notified of the fight inside the establishment, reports show.

"The officer made contact with Salgado and it was determined that he had struck a female patron of the bar in the face. Salgado was taken into custody without incident," police reports show.

Salgado was booked into custody at the Joliet police station and then released on an I-bond, reports show.

Last weekend, Joliet Patch reported on the arrest of 24-year-old Richard Rocha of Bolingbrook in an article headlined, "Gang Member Hits Joliet Officer At Anthony's Pub: Cops."

Rocha was released from the Will County Jail on the night of Jan. 30 after posting 10 percent of his $50,000 bail, jail logs show.
