Woman Punched In Face At John F. Kennedy High Rise: Cops

Julio Greeydelinarez attacked one of his female relatives, punching her in the face several times at the public housing apartment complex.

JOLIET, IL — A 42-year-old Joliet man who lives at the public housing high-rise at 2200 Oneida St. has been charged with domestic violence and unlawful restraint after Joliet police say he attacked a female relative on April 6.

The incident that led to the arrest of Julio Greeydelinarez happened around 10:30 a.m. at the John F. Kennedy apartment complex occurred around 10:30 a.m., police reports state.

"Once Greeydelinarez answered the door, he pulled the victim into his apartment by her shirt and pushed her up against a wall while yelling at her," Joliet police reports show. "The victim then attempted to leave the apartment at which time Greeydelinarez shut the door and began punching her in the face. The victim was then able to flee the apartment and call 911."

Joliet police say they located Greeydelinarez in the area put him under arrest.

However, a Joliet Fire Department ambulance was called to take Greeydelinarez for a mental health evaluation, police said.

After spending a week at the St. Joe's hospital, Greeydelinarez was released from the hospital on Monday and booked into the Will County Jail, police reports show.
