Woman Shoves Victim Down Stairs At Star Inn Plaza: Joliet Police

Joliet police arrested a 27-year-old Rockdale woman early Friday morning at the Star Inn Plaza in the 2200 block of Jefferson Street.

JOLIET, IL — A 27-year-old Rockdale woman remains in the Will County Jail with her bail set at $300,000 in connection with an incident at Joliet's Star Inn Plaza. Joliet police say Bre' Gana Walker shoved a man down a flight of stairs during an argument and she kicked him in the face.

The man was taken by ambulance to the nearby AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center. The extent of the man's injuries were unclear from the Joliet police news release.

In any event, Joliet police responded to the Star Inn Plaza around 5:20 a.m. Friday.

In the incident involving the Rockdale woman, "officers determined that Walker had become involved in an argument with a male at which time Walker pushed the male victim down a flight of stairs," Joliet Police Sgt. Dwayne English stated.

Walker also kicked the man in the face as he lay on the ground at the bottom of the stairs, Joliet police announced. Walker got into a car and then left the Star Inn Plaza only to return several minutes later as Joliet police cars were on the scene.

She was arrested without any problems, police said.

Walker resides in the 600 block of Rockdale's Meadow Avenue. She remained in Will County's Jail on Tuesday night unable to post 10 percent of her $300,000 bail, jail records show.
