Wreck At Jefferson And Essington: Traffic Reopened

At least one person appeared to be injured as a result of Tuesday afternoon's wreck across from the Inwood Golf Course.

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet Fire Department ambulance responded to Tuesday afternoon's T-bone collision at Jefferson Street and Essington Road. The 4 p.m. wreck involved a black pickup truck and a maroon car. At least one of the motorists in the car appeared to be injured.

Several Joliet police cars responded to the wreck to investigate the crash and clear debris. Motorists were not allowed to continue heading toward Shorewood from Jefferson Street. Instead, westbound traffic was being sent to Essington Road.

By 6 p.m., the crash was cleared and traffic was moving along normally.
