District 105 Board of Education has Recent Vacancy

The Board of Education of School District 105 is accepting letters of interest and applications to fill the vacant seat.

Due to the resignation of Board Member Virginia Kogen, the Board of Education of School District 105 is accepting letters of interest and applications to fill the vacant seat. After the Board selects a candidate to fill the vacant seat, the term will continue until the next consolidated School Board election in April of 2023.

The minimum legal requirements to be a Board member are:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a resident of Illinois and of the school district for at least one year prior to the appointment
  • Be a registered voter
  • Not be a child sex offender or convicted of an ‘infamous’ crime
  • Not be a school trustee or school treasurer
  • Not be an employee of the school district
  • Not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the school district
  • Not have a prohibited interest in any contract, work or business with the school district

Required application materials must be completed, submitted and received by 5:00 p.m. on July 14, 2021. The Board will interview candidates that successfully complete the application process in the evening on July 19th at Hodgkins Elementary School.
