La Grange Bakers Square Closes

Chain filed for bankruptcy last month. Other Illinois locations also have shut doors.

LA GRANGE, IL — In the middle of La Grange's Restaurant Week, one of the village's eateries closed for good — Bakers Square, 942 S. La Grange Road. A Bakers Square news release posted on the La Grange, IL Facebook page announced the closure.

"After very careful consideration, we have made the tough but necessary decision to discontinue operations at the La Grange location," the release said. "This is never an easy decision to make and one driven by many business factors."

The Nashville-based chain said all the employees will be relocated to nearby locations or provided with severance packages.
