La Grange Business Set To Close Saved In 11th Hour
The business plans to stay open under new ownership.
LA GRANGE, IL — If you're bummed that Primal Oceans Salt Cave is closing, you can stop. The spa announced that its plan to close this month is no longer. It says it will stay open under new ownership.
In a Facebook announcement Tuesday, Primal Oceans said, "All the prayers and positive energy you sent our way proved to be successful."
On Aug. 5, Primal Oceans, 8 S. La Grange Road, announced on Facebook that its last day was Aug. 23. It said its employees had been excited to reopen its doors in May after the pandemic shutdown. But then reality set in.

"With discussions late into the night, number crunching and many prayers, it has become evident that the pandemic will not allow us the joy of remaining open," the business said at the time.
On Aug. 22, just one day before the scheduled closing, the spa announced it would delay its last day by a week. Now, it has a new lease on life.

Primal Oceans has been in La Grange for 7½ years. Gift certificates will continue to be honored, the business said.
