La Grange Coronavirus: Restaurant Closes For Good

Facebook comments pour in praising restaurant, which was in business six years.

LA GRANGE, IL — A "perfect storm" has resulted in the immediate closure of La Buona Vita restaurant after six years in La Grange. La Buona Vita restaurant owner Jim Barron issued a statement Monday morning announcing the closure of the restaurant, 15 Calendar Ave., which offered northern Italian cuisine.

"After thoughtful analysis and a heavy heart, it is with great disappointment I inform you that effective immediately, the restaurant is permanently closed," Barron said. "The increased concern related to the COVID-19/Coronavirus, the Governor's mandate, combined with limited resources, has made it the perfect storm for businesses, especially for small locally owned restaurant businesses."

He said he was disappointed and frustrated there was no choice but to close a business "to which we were not only passionately devoted but extremely appreciative."
