Pickpocket strikes Jewel

A wallet was stolen from out of a woman’s purse while she was shopping at Jewel, 507 Woodlawn, police said. The wallet, minus its contents, was found on the sidewalk in the upper Village Market area, police said. The missing items were worth more than $500.
