SERCO Hosts Construction, Manufacturing, Logistics Job Fair

SERCO-Southwest Cook County American Job Center in North Riverside will host a Manufacturing, Construction and Logistics job fair Feb. 8.

NORTH RIVERSIDE, IL -- The Southwest Suburban Cook County American Job Center will host a mega construction, manufacturing and logistics job fair this Friday, Feb. 8, in North Riverside. Representatives from the manufacturing, construction and logistics industries will be on hand to discuss current and future career opportunities at their companies. The job fair from 10 a.m. to noon, at SERCO’s job center located at 7222 W. Cermak Road, North Riverside. Parking is free.

Job seekers will be able to talk to recruiters and interview on the spot, who are hiring machine operators, maintenance mechanics, food production, maintenance mechanics, shipping/receiving, quality assurance, sanitation, assembly, welders, forklift operators, material handlers, warehouse, carpenters, electricians and CDL class A drivers.

Companies are looking for the following candidate qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends. Flexibility is a plus.
  • Minimum 6-months’ work experience in construction, manufacturing or logistics (warehouse) is a big plus
  • Candidates with industry credentials and training in plus

Over 20 employers are tentatively signed on to be at the fair, including Illinois Tollway, Home Chef, S&B, Bimbo, Accurate, Ferrara Foods, PacTiv, US Foods, Freedman Seating Co, Burke Beverage, RR Donnelley and MORE.
