SERCO Hosts 'New Year, New Career Job Fair'

NORTH RIVERSIDE, IL — The Southwest Suburban Cook County American Job Center is hosting a mega food manufacturing job fair on Friday, Jan. 24, in North Riverside. Representatives from over 20 finance, transportation, food, hospitality and manufacturing companies will be on hand to discuss current and future career opportunities. The fair starts at 10 a.m. at SERCO's job center located at 7222 W. Cermak Road, North Riverside.

Job seekers will be able to talk to recruiters and interview on the spot, who are offering positions in quality assurance, assembly, supervisors, machine operators, food production, line cooks/kitchen, shipping/receiving, maintenance mechanics, customer service, sanitation/general labor, CDL commercial drivers and more.

Business attire required and attendees should bring several resumes. Companies are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work a variety of shifts such as nights and weekends (flexibility is huge plus).
• Six months of work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, customer service or hospitality.
• Candidates with industry credentials or training a plus.

Over 20 employers have tentatively signed on for the job fair, including Farmers Fridge, CTA, Express Employment Professionals, Taylor Farms, US Census2020, American Foods Group, PNC Bank, Hostess, Waste Management, ARYZTA and more.
