Stolen Evening Gowns, Graffiti, Car Burglaries: La Grange Park Police Bulletin

Take a look at what the La Grange Park police have been up to for the past couple of weeks.

The following items were taken from the latest La Grange Park police bulletin. As always, the La Grange Park Police Department reminds residents to lock their cars when unattended and to remove valuables from sight.

Burglary to motor vehicle

  • A La Grange Park resident told cops that sometime between 6 p.m. Feb. 24 and 7 a.m. Feb. 25, someone got into their unlocked car and stole more than $400 of valuables, including an iPod and two evening gowns. The total loss is approximated at $425.

  • A resident’s unlocked car was entered between 10 p.m. Feb. 24 and 6:30 a.m. the next day, and the glove box and a backpack had clearly been rifled through. Nothing, however, was reported stolen.
  • Sometime between midnight Feb. 24 and 8:45 a.m. the next day, someone got into two unlocked cars and went through their contents, but didn’t take anything.

Defacement

  • Spray painted graffiti was found at the Village Market at 333 N. LaGrange Rd. on Feb. 24. Police said there graffiti was found in the walkway between the upper and lower levels of the Village Market. No gang activity is suspected.
