Thursday, June 13

Tires Slashed

Someone slashed the tires of a car parked in the 900 block of South La Grange Road around 7:19 p.m., police said.

Teen Shoved at McDonald’s

Someone pushed a 16-year-old boy at McDonald’s around 9:23 p.m., police said. The offender, whom the teen didn’t know, left before police arrived. The teen declined to press charges.

Internet Scam

A resident in the 400 block of South 9th Avenue said she was scammed out of money over the Internet, police said. The woman responded to an online ad for a loan that required her to pay a processing fee. She paid the fee, which was less than $1,000, but never got the loan, police said, because it was a fake company.

Graffiti at Library

Gang-related graffiti was found in a men’s bathroom stall at the La Grange Public Library, 10 W. Cossitt Ave., around 5:02 p.m., police said.

License Plate Violations

Michael McNamara, 42, of the 5400 block of Wolf Road in Western Springs, was cited around 9:09 p.m. for driving with suspended and expired plates, police said.

Tuesday, June 11

Dog Bites Landscaper

A dog bit a landscaper working on a home in the 200 block of Sunset around 3:49 p.m., police said. The man was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for his injury.

Shoplifting

A woman took a shirt and a pair of pants with a combined value of more than $100 from Alixandra Collections, 126 W. Calendar Ave., around 2:45 p.m., police said. The suspect was filmed by security cameras, and police are reviewing the footage.

Man in Backyard

A bald, black man wearing a white T-shirt and jeans was seen in a backyard around 7:21 a.m. in the 200 block of South Madison Avenue, police said. He jumped the fence and headed east toward La Grange Road. Police were not able to find him. Nothing was taken from the yard.

No Driver’s License

Juan Guzman-Bucio, 27, of the 4600 block of North Springfield Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 8:41 a.m. near the intersection of Ogden and Gilbert, police said. He was charged with driving without a license.
