I'd like to thank reader Michael Clark for sending us these photos from the 49th annual Roy Overholt Tournament in Brookfield. His team, the Yankees, won the back in July. The Yankees beat the Indians in the A-League championship game 10-4. The team took the Overholt Tournament by storm on Aug. 23, beating Berwyn 12-3. The team was undefeated in the tournament, Clark said, beating North Riverside 9-4, Pleasantdale 12-0, Western Springs 5-4 and then, Berwyn. Standout plays in the championship game included homeruns by Matt Lang and James Moore. Justin Malpede added three hits for two doubles and Aaron Kriha and Eamon McDonnell added two hits each in a 13 hit attack, Clark said. Pitcher James Moore pitched a complete game for the win with eight strikeouts and solid glove support behind him. Congratulations to the entire Yankee team on a season well played!
