1st Baby Of 2020 In Lake Forest Born 4 Hours Into New Decade

LAKE FOREST, IL — The first baby of the decade at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital was delivered smoothly nearly four hours into 2020, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Carson Serdar is the first child born to Antioch residents Elizabeth and Jonathan Serdar, who checked into the hospital around 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve.

Carson weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 20 inches after he emerged at 3:58 a.m. on Wednesday.

The new parents were enjoying their bonding time later on New Year's Day, according to the spokesperson.
