Blair House Property Listed for $9 Million in Lake Bluff

LAKE BLUFF, IL - The site of the recently demolished Blair House in Lake Bluff is up for sale.

The lakefront land parcel that consists of nearly 27 acres is on the market for just under $9 million, according to a Crain’s Chicago report.

When the home that was the residence of Edward McCormick Blair was listed by Blair’s kin earlier this decade it listed for about $10 million.

Area preservationists began an effort to keep the home on Sheridan Road standing although its owners filed for demolition multiple times. The home was mid-century with a two-story wall of windows overlooking the lake.
