Chicago Attorney Lists Lake Forest Mansion

LAKE FOREST, IL - A prominent Chicago personal injury attorney seeks nearly half-a-million in profit on a French Normandy-style mansion in Lake Forest.

Thomas Demetrio listed the five-bedroom, 10,507 square foot home near downtown Lake Forest on Wednesday for $5.9 million, according to Chicago Tribune Elite Street reports. He paid $5.5 million for it in 2011, but now plans to move back to Chicago.

“The house is gorgeous, and it’s about an hour and a half drive from my beautiful home to my office,” Demetrio told Elite Street. “But I’m ready to come back to my roots and live five minutes from the office. We like it and it’s beautiful, but at the end of the day, we’re city folk.”

The home has seven fireplaces, a two-story living room and five-car garage.
