City Park Grill Closes Saturday, Hoping to Relocate Nearby

The restaurant lost its lease after seven years on St. Johns Avenue.

The City Park Grill will close its doors at its St. Johns Avenue location, but hopes to relocate nearby or at least somewhere on the North Shore, according to an article in the Highland Park News.

Owner Ted Holleb posted the news on Patch earlier this month, saying the restaurant had lost its lease after seven years. “We hope to move and reopen in the near future,” he wrote.

But he and his business partners have had no luck so far, the Highland Park News article says. They’ve been focusing their search on Highland Park and Highwood, but are willing to consider a promising space anywhere between Wilmette and Gurnee.
