Cut ID Theft Chances, Shred Sensitive Docs In Lake Forest

Free shredding event open to all Lake Forest residents.

LAKE FOREST, IL — The City of Lake Forest Sanitation will host a free shredding event later this month at the Municipal Services Building. Residents are encouraged to bring private documents to be safely and securely shredded.

The event is open to Lake Forest residents only and there is a four-box limit (a box is considered to be about the size of a standard copier paper box). It is scheduled to run from 9 a.m.-12 noon on Saturday, April 22.

Your chance of identity theft can be reduced if you shred documents containing personal financial and medical information rather than leaving them out in public in your trash or recycling.
