Discover Symphony Announces 2021 Summer Series
Discover Symphony, the next generation of the Park Ridge Civic Orchestra, announced its 27th season will begin with a summer series.

Discover Symphony, the next generation of the Park Ridge Civic Orchestra, announced its 27th season will begin with a summer series, “Summer Sounds Live,” consisting of intimate chamber programs, well-suited to social distancing. All concerts will last approximately one hour with no intermission. Tickets for all concerts may be purchased at www.discoversymphony.org.
The first two performances of “Summer Sounds Live” will take place at The Gorton Community Center Stuart Room at 400 East Illinois Road in Lake Forest. The Stuart Room offers safe and social-distanced, cabaret-style seating in a facility with an air purification system for COVID-19 protection. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. All live performance tickets, limited to 40 per performance, are $35.

- Travel Notes: A Musical Journey on June 18 at 7:00 p.m. featuring works by Mozart, Bernstein, The Beatles, Villa-Lobos and more. Discover Symphony’s jet-setting string quartet promises to take us away on a whirlwind musical vacation around the globe.
- Saturday Night Strings on June 26 with performances at 5:00 and 7:30 p.m. featuring a fun and eclectic evening of duos, trios and quartets.
Discover Symphony anticipates the “Summer Sounds Live” summer season will continue in July and August with performances that will include a special guest soloist and additional captivating virtuosic chamber music featuring clarinet and brass ensembles.
