DUI Stop Leads to Second DUI Arrest

While processing one driver for DUI, a second car stopped and that driver was arrested.

The following is from the Lake Bluff Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Hit and run of bicyclist

A bike and car collided near Green Bay Road and Rockland Road at 7:30 p.m. July 27. No one was injured. The vehicle fled the scene heading west on Rockland before officers arrived. It is described as a white Honda Accord driven by a woman.

Scrap metal theft

Officers responded to the 1500 block of Rockland Road at 8 p.m. Aug. 2 to assist the Lake County Sheriff’s Office with a subject stealing scrap metal from a train car. The thief was described as a white man wearing a white tank top and tan pants, driving a white pickup truck. Police were unable to find him.

DUI

An officer responded to northbound Route 41 south of Route 176 at 10:45 p.m. Aug. 2 for a driving complaint. The complainant said a black pickup truck was having difficulty maintaining its lane. The officer found the vehicle and the driver was arrested for DUI.

While assisting another Lake Bluff officer on a traffic stop for DUI at 11:30 p.m. Aug. 2, a second vehicle pulled over. The driver of the second vehicle was also arrested for DUI.
