Fatal Traffic Crash On Interstate 94 In Lake Forest: State Police
State police said a 46-year-old man died after his stationary car was struck by a tractor-trailer Thursday on the Tri-State Tollway.

LAKE FOREST, IL — A truck crashed into an SUV stopped on Interstate 94 in Lake Forest Thursday, fatally injuring the SUV's driver, state police said.
Around 8 p.m., a Mack Truck tractor-trailer was headed west on the right lane of I-94, just north of Half Day Road, when it struck a Honda CRV that was stationary in the right lane of traffic with its lights off, according to Illinois State Police.
The 46-year-old North Chicago man behind the wheel of the Honda was taken to an area hospital and later pronounced dead, state police said. No further information was immediately available from the Lake County Coroner's Office.

State police said the driver of the truck, a 67-year-old Chicago man, was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Traffic on four lanes of westbound I-94 was closed for a traffic crash investigation for about four hours after the incident, according to state police.
