Free Speakers Available Virtually

The community service project, FreeSpeakers.org, is a pro bono speakers bureau serving Chicago clubs and organizations throughout the city and suburbs. The free service has been available for nearly 25 years in Chicago.

FreeSpeakers.org serves the community through live in-person seminars and speaking engagements. Rarely do the speakers engage in virtual meetings. However, a lot has changed due to the Coronavirus.

This week the speakers were polled about presenting virtual talks, and they responded enthusiastically.

Many groups, clubs, and organizations are continuing meetings virtually via video conferences such as Zoom. Now is the perfect time for a group to bring a speaker into a virtual meeting to hear information about health and fitness or navigating uncertainly in the markets.

The unprecedented economic hurdles we face today is an issue many of the financial speakers in the bureau can discuss in a virtual meeting. Most of the topic listings in the speaker’s bureau were written before the Coronavirus hit, but many speakers can adjust their topics to reflect today’s financial crisis.

The bureau’s motivational speakers can be especially helpful in coping with the stay-at-home orders. Topics can touch upon the loneliness and anxiety that so many Chicagoans are experiencing. A motivational speaker can often lift spirits and offer comfort.

As always, all speakers present at no cost, and there is no fee from the bureau.

Free Speakers offers pro bono speakers in five cities - Phoenix, Chicago, Milwaukee, Washington DC, and Indianapolis, totaling 500 speakers and more than 1,000 topics.

We believe that having a great speaker live in-person is one of the most powerful ways to communicate. However, for the time being, a virtual speaker can impart new understanding, and in the case of an entertainment speaker, provide a much-needed smile.
