Lake Forest City Council Approves 'Granny Flats'

Lake Forest will allow garage apartments, coach houses and other secondary dwellings on property following city council action this week. These housing units, called “granny flats,” will be limited to parts of the city with large lot sizes. Two unrelated people can live in these newly approved housing units, and the property owner must give the city information about parking before the unit will be approved.
