Lake Forest High School Ranked as Best in IL by Daily Beast
Deerfield High School was the next best on the North Shore, according to the website.

Among North Shore schools, Lake Forest High School came in first at No. 52. It’s the top Illinois school on the list.
Deerfield High School came in next among North Shore schools at No. 111. Glenbrook North in Northbrook is No. 132 and Glenbrook South in Glenview is No. 165.

Buffalo Grove High School ranked No. 415, Niles North High School in Skokie ranked No. 460 and Highland Park High School ranked No. 487.
The ranking relied on six criteria: graduation and college acceptance rates (which were weighed most heavily), college-level courses and exams, percentage of students with free or reduced lunch, and SAT/ACT scores.

An important note, which may explain why some North Shore schools aren’t ranked at all: the Daily Beast relied both on Department of Education stats and surveys they sent to schools, asking them to fill them out. Presumably, those that didn’t fill out surveys didn’t get included.
