She made many friends and greatly enjoyed being a volunteer for almost 10 years at Lake Forest Hospital. She was proud of her involvement and found her work satisfying and fulfilling.
Chris liked to travel, but most of all she had countless friends there in both the local and the expatriate community. She adopted and trained a Mexican street dog, Solo Veno who has been a long resident of Lake Forest. He was her constant companion, especially during her illness.Chris was a flower gardener who always had blooms decorating our home. She delighted in showing her garden to visitors and friends and knew plants by their Latin names. In her youth, she delighted in learning greenhouse gardening from her grandparents and mother.
