Lake Forest Obituary: Ruth Pierobon, 87

Ruth M. Pierobon, 87, died October 2, 2014 peacefully at home where she lived in Lake Forest for 54 years, surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Raymond L. Pierobon and their three children Nancy P. Hensel, James R. Pierobon and Catherine M. Barcus, and their spouses, William G. Hensel, Andrea Powell Pierobon and Gregory S. Barcus; plus five grandchildren Brian Hensel and his wife Kristina; Megan Gripe and her husband J.T; Jeffrey Hensel, Elizabeth Schoenbrock and her husband Richard, and Mimi Pierobon; and two step grandchildren, Morgan Powell and her husband Jason Lawrence and Drew Powel. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, Addison, Paityn and Parker Hensel; Annabell and Benjamin Gripe; and Rickers Schoenrock.

Ruth graduated from William Woods Women’s College in Fulton, Missouri, Class of 1947. She was active in many charities, including committees of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest. She was a Charter Member in the early 1970s of the church’s newly-established First Presbyterian Church Chancel Guild. She was a long-serving member of the Lake Forest Book Club, Lake Forest Chapter of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago and two bridge clubs. She was the Assistant Director of Volunteers for the Westmoreland facility at Lake Forest Hospital for seven years. They enjoyed traveling and playing lots of golf. Including a Hole-in-One.

The memorial service will be 10 a.m., Monday, October 6, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, 700 North Sheridan Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045.
