LFHS sophomore Kiley Rabjohns won the Class 2A singles state tournamenet Saturday as the varsity team missed the top spot by a single point.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — An undefeated sophomore has won Lake Forest High School's first singles girls tennis title. Kiley Rabjohns worked through chilly and windy conditions Saturday to come out on top of the class 2A state championship meet in Buffalo Grove.
Rabjohns headed into the tournament as top seed and won all six matches without dropping a set. She defeated Maria Goheen of West Aurora by a score of 6-3, 6-3 in the championship match.
Narrowly missing out of a team title as well, the Scouts varsity girls tennis squad of Rabjohns, Cody Avis, Nika Belova and Olivia Wheldon took second place to Hinsdale Central by a score of 23 to 22. Stevenson came in third with 19.
