CHICAGO — Expect delays and longer travel time next week for trips through the area of Illinois Route 120 and U.S. Highway 41 in Park City in order for a resurfacing and bridge reduction project on Route 120, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Starting Monday, weather permitting, all traffic will be shifted into the eastbound lanes, reducing the road to one lane in each direction between Green Bay and O'Plaine roads. Temporary ramps will be in place between westbound Illinois 120 and northbound U.S. 41, IDOT announced.
The structures that take Route 120 over Highway 41 and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks in the area will be rehabilitated and its bridge deck will be replaced.
