Learn About School District 65's Strategy

The third phase of the district's strategic planning process will be presented Oct. 15 at Lake Bluff Middle School.

Wondering about the future direction of School District 65? Community members are invited to hear about the strategic plan implementation plan at 7 p.m. Oct. 7 at Lake Bluff Middle School, when it will be presented to the School Board.

The plan, which is the third phase of the district’s strategic planning process, was created by community members, parents, teachers, staff and other experts.

“The plan they developed includes the specific steps that will be used to carry out goals set by the Board of Education in late spring. They also worked out the timelines, lists of needed resources, and the specific metrics that will be used to measure success toward reaching each goal,” Superintendent Jean Sophie wrote in a message to District 65 families this week.

The School Board developed the goals after reviewing community survey responses and holding a series of focus groups last year, Sophie said.

More about the strategic planning process can be found on the district's website.
