Mansion On Schweppe Estate On Market For $5.5 Million
Mayflower Place home includes two-story wine cellar and outdoor swimming pool.
A 9,900-square-foot Georgian-style mansion occupying a portion of the Schweppe Estate in Lake Forest was listed recently for just under $5.5 million.
Built in the mid-1990s, the red brick home includes a swimming pool, formal gardens, a two-story wine cellar and “richly paneled library,” according to Crain’s Chicago.
It shares Mayflower Place with the Schweppe main mansion - a 27-room mansion built more than a century ago as a wedding gift for the daughter of John G. Shedd, then president of Marshall Field & Co.
