North Chicago Man Arrested for Driving while Drinking Tequila

Driving under the influence

On Feb. 18 at 11:30 a.m., Chris D. Curie, 57, of Barrington, was arrested by detectives on a warrant for failing to appear in DuPage County courts on a previous DUI charge. Curie had been wanted since 2011. Curie wastransported to Lake County Jail to await extradition to DuPage County Jail.

An officer stopped Fredy Solis, 26, of North Chicago, on Feb. 16 at 9:38 a.m., for speeding on Waukegan Road. He was found to have an open, partially‐consumed bottle of tequila with him that he admitted to drinking from. Solis was also found to have a revoked driver’s license and exhibited a strong odor of alcohol.He was placed under arrest. Solis later failed two field sobriety tests and produced a breath sample showing a blood alcohol content of.114.He was processed and released after posting bond.
