Private Service Planned for Ellen Busse Riddle

Ellen Busse Riddle of Lake Bluff died Oct. 30. 

She was the beloved only child of Ralph and Mae Busse; cherished and selfless mother of Pamela (Wally) Marzec, Barbara (John) Cegielski, and the late Randy; and adored grandmother of Grant Patrick Kay. She is also survived by her constant and loving four-legged companion, Buddy.

Ellen was a successful Realtor on the North Shore for more than 40 years. She was a singer of note during her late teens and beyond performing throughout Chicago and Wisconsin with the Northwestern Band, and other notable big band venues. She was ferociously loyal to her family and friends whose lives were enriched for having known her. She was a lady in the truest sense of the word. Her determination, wit, generous spirit, and loyalty will always be remembered.
