'The Profit' Host Marcus Lemonis Sells Lake Forest Mansion for $2.7M But Takes a Loss
The cable TV personality bought the home for close to $5 million in 2005.
LAKE FOREST, IL — TV personality Marcus Lemonis might host a CNBC show called The Profit. But that doesn't mean all his business deals make him money.
Lemonis recently sold his French Normandy mansion in Lake Forest for $2.7 million, according to realtor.com. That's a nice chunk of change, to be sure. However, the 42-year-old, Lebanese-born businessman purchased the house in 2005 for around $4.93 million.
Besides a good deal on the price, what else has the buyer landed with this five-bedroom, 8,225-square-foot mansion, which was built in 1931 and rebuilt in 2004? Here's a look at some of the home's features and amenities:

This isn't the first time Lemonis has put the 7,459-square-foot mansion on the market. He originally tried selling the house in 2008 for slightly less than $7 million. Since then, the property has gone through a series of relistings and reductions in asking price. Finally, Lemonis put the mansion up for sale in June for about $2.9 million.
