Railroad Maintenance To Close Lake Forest Crossing
A railroad crossing near downtown Lake Forest will be closed for nearly a week, city officials announced.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Repairs on a railroad crossing will shut down a crossing south of downtown Lake Forest for nearly a week, city officials announced. Union Pacific Railroad is closing the crossing at Ryan Place near Western Avenue between Monday, March 19 and Sunday, March 25.
Drivers were asked to use the viaduct to the south, or Illinois Road to the north, to cross east across the tracks in the area during the closure.
